Just a day or two after I was telling my mom I didn't want to put avocado on my oven nachos because I didn't feel like cutting it up (so messy and frustrating), she comes home with this avocado slicer from the Williams Sonoma Outlet. At first, I thought it looked pretty worthless, but it actually does the trick quite well and you don't have to take the avocado out of the skin either... SO easy! Today, I am having oven nachos with black beans, mushrooms, avocado and cheese with Pace Picante salsa! YUM. Thanks mom!

Piece's How-to: Home-made Playbill Keepsake Binders
Happy Friday!
Today is a wonderful day (Opening Night for Bye Bye Birdie!!), and today I thought I'd share how I assembled these beauties that I'm so glad I did last fall!
I'd seen Playbill's beautiful binders that they sell for $40 a pop, and coveted them. I thought, there HAS to be a way to do this on your own for less $$$.
I searched the dimensions, did a little research, and found a place on Amazon that sold what I needed and the quality of sheet protectors/binders I wanted. I bought three 2" binders and a pack of 50 protectors (these fit perfectly: I average 15-18 Playbills per binder) for $40 (including shipping). They are from the same seller, so shipping is combined! Easy-peasy!!
I saved most of my tickets, so as you can see, I placed the ticket in the same sleeve as the Playbill on the back side... just another added touch. :) Design your spine label and organize as you wish (you're welcome to copy my system!), and you"ll have a wonderful keepsake that looks beautiful on your Theatre geek-out shelf! This was my test run, and I loved the outcome. I will definitely re-order when I start seeing more shows again upon moving back to New York! Enjoy and happy Geek-ing!

ADDICTION: Glee.
Okay... this also goes in the category of "guilty pleasures" because often times, I'm unimpressed with music/performances/choreography/plot, but damn it if these little freaks don't steal my heart every time!! I go through phases, and right now I can't get enough of it and listen to the Glee albums on my iPod non-stop. It probably also has to do with being in a musical with a bunch of 16-year-olds right now... Whether or not I'll admit it all the time, I'm totally a Gleek.
10 Things that I ADORE.
I came up with this list this morning as I had my morning cuddle with Xander, and as I type this, he is sitting right next to me helping. :) Here’s to a morning cup of happiness…
2. mi familia
4. snow
5. Chuck
6. Starbucks
7. Christmas
8. love letters
9. lunch with a good friend
10. OPENING NIGHTS…
Happy Thursday! ♥AshPiece

ADDICTION: Hot Sauce
I am obsessed with hot sauce. This is a fact that all of my friends would attest to. I am slightly picky about my hot sauce, and will select my sauce depending on what food I am dousing in it...
1. Sriracha Sauce: My first love.
I love Sriracha because, well it's BOMB. It's made with sun-dried chilis, which makes the flavor to-die-for! I prefer Sriracha on pasta or a dish that needs extra kick + flavor. The Sriracha flavor has a lot of presence, so when you're ready to add some Sriracha, be ready to taste it!!
2. Frank's RedHot Sauce: New love that my sister and her boyfriend introduced me to.
Frank is at his best on PIZZA. SO GOOD. It has a really nice flavor, but less kick than Sriracha. This is why it's nice to add to something as flavorful as pizza; it adds zest and flavor, but without trying to overpower what the pizza already has going on. pure love.
My journey with hot sauce has only just begun, but believe me, I'm CRAZY over my hot sauce addiction! Stay tuned for more on this adventure....

My Little Corner of the Universe
Welcome to my Little Corner of the Universe!
I'm Ashley. I'm a new member of the adult [real] world (fresh graduate from college), a good 'ole southern gal (a Georgia peach), and am starting out a life as an actress (yyyyyeah...). I like to be creative. I want to discover things, and I thought a blog might be a nice place to conglomerate my faves, finds, fails and wins in my walk in life. I suppose the only real through-line here is that I want to learn things, and I want to write about things, so I invite y'all to come along on my journey! We'll see where this takes me!
Enjoy.
