My love/offspring/best friend is a Wheaten Terrier/Cocker Spaniel mix. His name is Xander and he's pretty much the best pup on the planet and the perfect dog for me! My friend Andrew and I named him after Xander Harris. If you're wondering, yes...that's from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was such a perfect choice of a name for him, because he's such a lover, and not so much a fighter. :)
He's extremely silly, floppy, cuddly, and all things cute! He has also been referred to as a build-a-dog, Teddy Ruxpin, Rasputin (Leslie thinks he has a Rasputin face...), jack-rabbit, fluffer nugget, a teddy bear, bunny, and a slew of other lovely words/names. He also recently had his 5th birthday (Jan 15)!
Oh... and here are some reasons that Xander is the perfect dog for me:
-he loves to cuddle
-he LOVES the snow
-he's silly and crazy, but can also chill out-he dances with me
-he watches over me
-he's genuinely happy; there's not an angry bone in his body
-he lets me pick him up and cuddle him however I want :)
-he's SO soft and fluffy!
-he's skittish--much like me
-every time I watch this video he barks when he hears the doorbell and whines when he whines on the video. hehe! -he's a cat: he will chase laser points for hours on end, sit on the top-most part of the couch, and will rub his body against and in-between your legs so you'll pet him
-he goes NUTS when mail comes through a mail-slot in a front door...
-he's playful
-once, he sat and watched The Wizard of Oz with us...
-his favorite is having his hind-quarters scratched... HA!
-he's FREAKIN ADORABLE
-I love him.
